Printable Directions click on images to enlarge Mine Statistics This is located at T8N, R1E, section 6, SE quadrant on the Columbia Topo map. It is located northwest of Tip Top and northeast of Columbia, almost north of Columbia. If you take the road to the top of the mountain you can see the top of Columbia looking south. It is also located 2 canyons east of Humbug. I will start the directions from in front of the brewery at Tip Top. To get there go to the Tip Top page and follow the directions till you get to the brewery at mile marker7.7. Reset your trip meter to 0.0, keep your GPS set to WGS84 and keep going. I will include all directions in the printable directions.
There is a steep drop into the wash mentioned above with a sharp left turn and a sharp right to the road up to the other side. There are roads alll over the place here. One road will take you to the top of the hills to the west where you can see the top of Columbia. Check out the stone house on the other side of the wash as you drive up to mining equipment. The big tanks were used to hold and mix the slurry. It must have taken alot of water for their processing and I wonder where the water came from. Home
