The road continues beyond Tip Top to some more interesting and challenging places. The place I am about to take you to has a lot of stuff to see and explore. The Acquisition processing area is where you will be going. The Little Joe mine is in the area and I believe you will pass it on the way in.The equipment left behind looks modern. They tried to sell it in the middle 80,s but obviously with no luck.

This is located at T8N, R1E, section 6, SE quadrant on the Columbia Topo map. It is located northwest of Tip Top and northeast of Columbia, almost north of Columbia. If you take the road to the top of the mountain you can see the top of Columbia looking south. It is also located 2 canyons east of Humbug.

I will start the directions from in front of the brewery at Tip Top. To get there go to the Tip Top page and follow the directions till you get to the brewery at mile marker7.7. Reset your trip meter to 0.0, keep your GPS set to WGS84 and keep going. I will include all directions in the printable directions.

0.6 miles	Windmill on the left.
1.0 miles	Mine shaft just off the road to the left.
1.1 miles	Across the wash is a shack built into the side of the hill.
1.6 miles	Corral on the right.
2.0 miles	Corral, shack and windmill on the left. Can go left here and bear right but continue on for and easier way up.N 34* 03' 20.8" W 112* 16' 28.7"
2.1 miles	Take a left and follow the road up the hill.
4.1 miles	Bottom of the wash. Take the road up across the wash.
4.4 miles	You should be in front of a trailer. *N 34 03' 31.5" W 112* 17' 53.1"**

There is a steep drop into the wash mentioned above with a sharp left turn and a sharp right to the road up to the other side. There are roads alll over the place here. One road will take you to the top of the hills to the west where you can see the top of Columbia. Check out the stone house on the other side of the wash as you drive up to mining equipment. The big tanks were used to hold and mix the slurry. It must have taken alot of water for their processing and I wonder where the water came from.
